What is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is an amazing solution to some common brow concerns like, small gaps, unruliness, thinning and/or overplucking. This service can be done in about an hour. It's a noninvasive, temporary, but impactful way to fix brows in an affordable way.

What is the brow lamination process like?
Brow lamination is a perm for your brows, it gives them a set, uniform shape for an extended period of time. Instead of curls, a setting lotion helps brow hair stay brushed up and lifted upward for about six weeks.
The process starts off by painting a lifting cream onto the brow. Next the brow hairs are brushed up into place and a neutralizer is applied to fix the brows into their new shape. Brow tint is applied and allowed to process. Brow Shapping (Brow Waxing) is recommended and can be added to this service. The service is finished by Appling a nourishing oil to the brows to replenish their moisture after the chemical treatment process. Prices start at $90 and includes a PrecisionTinting service. Your laminated brows will last about two months, however you can prolong the look with a clear brow wax or brow gel.
Are there any downsides of brow lamination?
As amazing as brow lamination is it is a chemical hair service. It is a milder version of hair perming chemicals, that is applied to your brows (face) and so requires special care and attention. Just as overprocessing the hair on your scalp with chemicals and bleach can cause breakage, dryness, and even loss of hairs, the same holds true for eyebrow hairs. Perms (at least those for the scalp) use a chemical called ammonium thioglycolate to break bonds in the hair, thereby changing the structure and texture of the hair. This is damaging to the delicate hairs. With this in mind, daily conditioning and nourishing of the brows with an oil and moisturizing cream (the same way we do so with our hair after a chemical treatment) is essential. Aftercare
The overall results give you a low-maintenance look, however as with Eyelash Extensions there is some required aftercare. Be sure to purchase some Castor Oil to keep your brows healthy.
Keep Your brows dry the first 24-hours post treatment
Continue to brush your brows upwards
Avoid sleeping on your face to protect brow shap the first 24-hours post treatment
Do not apply makeup or self tanner the first 24-hours post treatment
Do not apply Retinol, Vitamin A or any kind of AHA Peels to the skin 72-hours post treatment OR PRIOR TO TREATMENT
Apply aftercare oil to your brows daily
Avoid swimming, saunas, working out for 24-48 hours post treatment
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat
Notify your Brow Stylist if a reaction occurs and seek medical advice if a swelling and burning sensation is still present after applying cold compress to the affected area
To prevent overprocessing, it's recommended that there be 8 to 10 weeks between treatments.
